This weekend we went to a restaurant to eat. First of all this restaurant had a great idea. They had cups of animals to play with. Jonathan loved them. He sorted out the animals that couldn't stand (off to the right is the pile of cast aways). But the funny story was when the waiter came he looked up at him and said "I want a hot-diggity-dog." We had not talked about hot dogs or what he was going to eat. He just decided to order on his own.
Here is Jonathan sound asleep on his floor. I guess he wasn't in bed after all. He is asleep with books in his hand.
Southern had a big fall picnic. Jonathan got to ride some rides, throw a baseball, eat a sucker, and watch fireworks. He liked the rides although you wouldn't guess by his facial expressions (his face was frozen like the one in the picture above for both rides). He was scared of the fireworks and cried, however the next day that was all he could talk about it. Now he loves "Picnics" and fireworks. He's going to be a little disappointed at his next picnic.
I'll start with my favorite story. Chaun and I decided it was time (actually it was long over due) to take away Jonathan's pacifier. To make a long story short it was quite a battle to get him to bed. One day he was crying for his pacifier and getting out of bed and had been "disciplined" many times. He had been crying for awhile and then all of the sudden it was quiet. I thought "YES! He went to sleep!" He went to sleep alright but he had pulled everything out from under his bed and found a pacifier. He popped it in his mouth and was out! I took the picture above. Then next time he went to bed he looked again for another hidden pacifier but was unsuccessful that time. I think we have finally conquered the bedtime battle without using a pacifier.

The pictures and stories were great. Thanks for sharing them. Grandma O.
Haha that is hilarious that he ordered a "hot-diggity-dog" instead of just a hot dog!
But tell your mom he didn't eat a hot dog, so she doesn't worry! I won't buy hot dogs at a resturant.
