we're down by one...
with runners on base. i'm pacing the third base line, and guess what? the pitching coach comes out to talk with his pitcher and infielders. the delay and suspense is making me crazy!--chaun
OH WAIT!!!!
Pushing has been delayed. The doctor decided to do a C-Section first and then will be coming back to us! Doctor said 30 minutes or so.--Chaun
PUSHING...
WILL START IN 15 MINUTES (8:15)--it's only a matter of time.
Right now we anticipate the arrival of our new born baby. If the excitement of seeing our baby is this big, how much greater will our excitement be when we see CHRIST! oh I can't wait, I think my body will burst with inexpressible joy!--Chaun

The Latest...
Well, just wanted to keep you all posted. Becky has dilated to 6cm. Contractions are about 3-4 minutes apart right now. That's all for now. Time to just sit and wait it out.--Chaun
The Latest with HITS
We are currently at the hospital. In regard to HITS, I will not be there tonight. So all lessons will be canceled. HITS will not open until around 5:00pm tonight. All teams scheduled to come, still plan on coming unless I (Chaun) call you. No baby yet...but progress is being made! We'll keep you posted.--Chaun
Is today "the day"?
Just wanted to keep everyone informed that today might be "the day" that "Baby Bergmeier" enters this world. It's 6:15am and contractions are getting longer, stronger, and more frequent. We'll keep you posted.--Chaun

The Waiting Game
Have you ever considered the relationship between waiting for your baby to be born and waiting for the 2nd coming of Christ? This is something that I have been thinking about a lot recently. Certainly, we have read many times about the quickness of the 2nd coming in 1 Thessalonians 5. Christ will come like "a thief in the night. While people are saying, 'There is peace and security,' then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman..." My wife knows all about this now. Labor pains come upon her suddenly.
From a man's perspective, I don't really understand this. We are not the ones feeling the pain. And the majority of the time (in the morning), while she is teaching, I don't see her in these pains, since I am at home studying for my seminary class. So, what does this waiting process look like from a guys perspective? And should we wait the same way for the 2nd coming of Christ? My responsibility is to be found ready when my cell phone rings. And it will come quickly. However, do I sit and stare at the phone all day while nothing else gets accomplished? NO! I prepare/clean the house. I get the bags and car ready. I get my work done, so that when the phone does ring, I will be ready to go. The same is true as we wait for the 2nd coming of Christ. I do not sit at home and stare at the sky all day (or even worse, sin). Instead, I strive to accomplish his work so that when the "trumpet sounds", I am found blameless. Oh, how much greater that joy will be when Christ comes and we are found doing his work. I hope that you will be ready and not be taken by surprise at the 2nd coming. James 5:8 says, "Establish your hearts, FOR the coming of the Lord is at hand."--Chaun

ultra sound pics, 2
Here's another pic of our baby. "Baby Bergmeier" has one week to be born. If Becky doesn't deliver the baby by next Monday (April 16), then she will be induced. Our doctor, Becky, and I all think the baby will come before next Monday.
Question: Does this picture look like a boy or girl? (we don't know what we're having)...I changed my mind and think it's a girl!--Chaun
