Easter Pictures

Kisses!!!

Ellie is not too sure about all the love!

Resurrection Week

I hope (in the future) to celebrate Easter all week but I got a late start this year. Good Friday we ate cross pancakes and made an Easter mountain (I forgot to take a picture). Saturday, our neighborhood had an Easter egg hunt and a parade. It was a rainy day but we went anyway. The kids had fun splashing in the puddles, hunting for eggs, and getting candy! Sunday we celebrated Christ's resurrection with wonderful service at church and an indoor picnic with lots of friends.

So Happy!

The Party!

The picnic

Games (above) animal charades,
(below) stretch your neck (like a giraffe and eat the donut), and we had an animal hunt

I didn't get a picture of all of Jonny's friends at the party,
but here are some of the bigger boys sporting their animal masks.

I was planning on having a party at the zoo but the weather kept us home. At first I was disappointed but the party turned out great! We stayed at our house and played games, ate a picnic on the living room floor and had cupcakes. Jonathan said "I told you it would be hard to play games and walk around the zoo!" He must not of been too disappointed!

Happy 4th Birthday Jonathan!!

April 13, 2011 Jonathan turned 4!
We started his special day with his birthday cereal of choice, Fruit Loops.
Later we opened a few presents and ate cake.
He ended his day with his favorite thing, playing baseball with daddy!
We are blessed to have him in our lives!

Here a few things that describe our four year old.
He continues to be very happy and always makes us laugh.
He talks a lot (my mom says it is my revenge) and a little loud too.
He loves music, singing and dancing.
At church he pretends to play the violin or drums while we sing.
He loves baseball, football, basketball (or maybe I should just say sports)
He loves books and would read all day long!
He also loves to pretend and dress up. I never know who he is going to come down for breakfast.
Some of his favorites are Samson, Charlie Church Mouse, Chuck E Cheese, Cubbie bear, and his newest is a soldier.
We love you Jonny!

His zoo cake.

Every time we go to the grocery store he tells me he wants to try these cookies some day.
So, we decided they would make a good birthday treat.

New pillows for his bed!

Back to Chicago

Before heading home we stopped back in Chicago to see my brother Matt and his wife Unity. We had a great time with them. They have a garden and Jonathan LOVED helping them get it ready to plant in. We played at a fun park and visited the zoo. It was a lot of fun to spend time with them

Looking at the ducks

Working in the garden.

This is the face Katelyn made whenever an animal scared her. It was pretty funny!

Sarah and I with our six kids...so fun!

It is pretty difficult to get four toddlers to all look at the camera and smile. Here are our attempts at a picture with all six kids. I especially like looking at what Jack and Katelyn are doing. You never know what those two are up to. =)
