Day Two at the Beach

Someone was pretty excited to be back!

Katelyn LOVED the sand. She was covered head to toe!
A nap on the beach...relaxing.

After a little rest Ellie had fun too.

Our attempt at a sand castle.
You can probably tell I didn't grow up on the beach.

Next Stop, the Aquarium

We are getting eaten by a shark!
Katelyn is the only one that looks scared.

More smiles!

We all had fun with our friends!

Lots of laughing!

Playing at the Park (in Virginia)

We found the this huge park and spent the morning there.
It was hot but we had a lot of fun!

Big smiles

Ellie is so big!
It won't be long and she'll be walking.

Sand, Sun, and Water

We had so much fun splashing in the water and playing in the sand. I was glad the kids weren't too brave and didn't venture out too far into the water. Whenever I let Ellie out of the stroller she found ways to eat handfuls of sand, but she enjoyed the water with me.
I was also reminded of God's love while sat out there on the beach looking at the beauty of the ocean.

"Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made;
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky."

Lots of Swimming

The house we stayed at had a pool.
My kids had a blast swimming there (and we hadn't even hit the beach yet)!

Even Ellie loved the water!

Jonathan felt like a big boy. He could swim by himself in the big pool.
He LOVED that!

To the Beach

Chaun, the kids, and I got the opportunity to go to Virginia Beach with some good friends of ours this summer. We packed up all our kids, some snacks and headed to the beach.

We visited the zoo.

Our niece Alexis got to spend a week with us in Louisville. It was so fun to have her here. We played a lot of UNO Attack, she did 16 crafts, we swam and had lots of fun!
