Turning 33

Thanks for a great day filled with my favorite things!
As I start a new year I hope to continue to grow closer to the Lord and be more like Him each day.

To end the day we grilled out at the park.

At lunch time we had some friends from Iowa stop through. I taught Anna in second grade. They brought me all kinds of birthday wishes from Iowa. It made my day. Then we all went to McDonalds for lunch. I even got a free shake!!

We started our day with breakfast out at Wild Eggs.
It was DELICIOUS!! Sadly Chaun was a little disappointed with his selection, but I loved mine.

Jonathan so proud of the cake.

Next they made homemade ice cream...YUMMY!!

Jonathan had a great time helping make the cake.

Here is Chaun working hard at making me a chocolate cake. Align Center
He was nervous but it was delicious!!

I turned 33 on June 28th.
Jonathan and Chaun worked hard to make my day special and it was.
I started my pictures with a picture of my baby bump since I haven't really posted any.

Katelyn Gets Tubes

All better...YEA!!!

Waking up from surgery not so happy about what they did to her.
However, it did not take her long to recover and she was back to her normal spunky self.

Still smiling...

They gave her some medicine to start putting her asleep before she went back. She is feeling a little loopy. It was pretty funny. She would giggle and laugh and then hardly be able to hold her head up.

Here she is waiting to go back. She was so happy and smiley that morning.
All the nurses loved her!

On June 25th Katelyn got tubes put in her ears.
We went to a brand new children's hospital for the surgery.
It was so nice. While we waited she had her own personal greeting on the TV.

40 Years!!

My family

Mom and Dad and all their grandkids so far.

Chaun couldn't come, so here is our family without him.
We missed him very much!!

Here is the bride and groom and their cake.

June 19th was my parents 40th wedding anniversary.
While we were in Chicago my siblings and our families had a dinner for my parents to celebrate.
They have been a great example to us.
We love you mom and dad!!!

A Trip to the City

On the way home from our night in the city. When we got off our last bus Jonathan was so impressed with the bus driver. He said "That guy knew right where our house was!"
It was a great trip! We had so much fun!
Thanks Dave and Anita for taking us around the city.

Last stop before home was Millennium Park. Jonathan and Katelyn got soaked in the fountain After getting soaked we went and listened to a concert in the park and the boys played a little football.

Cousins

After we saw the dolphins we had a picnic by the lake. It was beautiful! I love Chicago!!

Jonathan and Luke running to see the dolphins at Shedd Aquarium.

Emily and Alise were great babysitters. They carried little Katelyn all over Chicago. It was nice to have a break! Thanks girls!!!

Jonny got to take his first train and bus ride to down town Chicago. He thought it was pretty neat. He kept saying "I want to take daddy on a plane, train, and bus with me." So sweet... I love this picture of him and Uncle Dave.

Jonathan had a lot of fun with Natalie. Here they are playing doctor.

Katelyn had fun too. She kept sticking her whole head in this bucket and tried to drink the water! YUCK!

I thought Jonathan would be too scared to swim in the lake, but boy was I wrong!! He LOVED it and didn't want to leave.

The kids and I headed to Chicago in June to see my brother and his family. We had a great time! Jonathan loved his city adventures. We went to the beach the first night we were there.

Grandma and Grandpa O Come to Visit

Dad and Mom and the kids before they left. Thanks for coming! We had a GREAT time. We love you and miss you!!

We also went to Cavehill Cemetery. It was really pretty and very interesting.

My mom and I

I threw this picture in because I thought it was funny. Jonathan greedily guarding TWO bowls of ice cream.

We went out for pie and ice cream. Jonathan is pretty excited as you can see!

Katelyn was a grandpa's girl this visit. She loves the men in her life.

Grandma and the kids.

Katelyn loves this little water fountain. She was SOAKED when we left.

We went to the zoo.

We grilled out by the river one night.

Jonathan and Grandpa getting some Lemonade (which Katelyn really loved!).

My parents came at the end of May for a visit. We had a great time with them and stayed very busy. Above are pictures of going to the horse races at Churchhill Downs. Once again I have too many pictures and it was hard to choose but here is a glimpse of the fun we had.
