Road Trip

We also got to see another couple who was dear to our family, Virgil and Verna Kardell. It was a wonderful time to reconnect with them all.

On our way we stopped in Wayne, Nebraska where we lived when Sarah and I were little to visit our adopted grandparents. When I was a little girl I didn't have any grandpas so I asked Charlie to be my grandpa and from then on he and his wife became our grandparents. It was fun to see them and to introduce my kids to them. Here's Marge with Katelyn.

My mom, dad, sister, her two boys, and me and my kids all loaded up in the church van and headed to Nebraska for my cousins wedding. It was quite the road trip with two toddlers and two babies. The kids did pretty well and the grandparents survived too! It was fun and we made some great memories together. Here are the boys ready to go! They had no idea what was coming.

A Trip to Meriden

Jonathan and Josiah had a blast together. Here they are playing trains with Grandpa and Grandma.

We weren't expecting to see Chaun until Sunday and he showed up on my parent's doorstep on Tuesday night. It was a great surprise. He fooled me completely. I was calling him asking him to bring me things I had forgotten and he was driving the whole time. He actually had a few of the things I asked him to bring. He's amazing! The next day Sarah and her boys came. This is a picture of me holding Jack and Chaun holding Katelyn.

After spending some time in Waterloo we headed to Meriden to visit my mom and dad. Here Jonathan is at a soda shop with Grandpa. He got a taste of ice cream and then asked for his own.

We spent a lot of time with Chaun's brother and his family. Sadly I didn't take a lot of pictures. The kids had a lot of fun holding Katelyn. We also went to a parade together. Jonathan loved it. I posted a video so you could see how much he liked it.

While I was in Iowa I got to go back to school and help with field day. It was so fun to be back. I miss the kids alot!! I didn't get too many pictures but these girls wanted to be on my blog. So here they are Tessa, Julia, and Mallory! They love Jonathan and Katelyn! We love them.

Our Trip to Iowa

Jonathan got to go to Cooper's 3rd birthday party. It was a Cowboy party. We had a lot of fun roasting hot dogs, playing at the pond, and eating birthday cake!

We went to the park for a picnic and fun with our friends Tucker, Gavin and Cooper.

At the beginning of May Jonathan, Katelyn, and I hitched a ride to Iowa for the month. We had a great time visiting family and friends. But we did miss Chaun. We spent a week in Waterloo, a week in Meriden, then back to Waterloo and last of all off to the Dells. Chaun came half way through and boy were we glad to see him. While we were gone Katelyn learned to roll over, laugh, and began cutting her bottom two teeth. Here are some pictures of our fun in Waterloo.

My sister had her baby on April 30th. Jackson Robert joined the cousins. We are excited. He is so sweet!

Thunder Over Louisville

We experienced our first Kentucky Derby in Louisville. We didn't go to the actual Derby but there is a lot of excitement the month before the Derby. Thunder Over Louisville is the big fireworks show that kicks off all the Derby festivities. We went with our friends to see the fireworks. They were great!!
