Fun Photos

My friend Susanna took some pictures for me and these are a few she edited for me. I thought they were precious so I had to add them to the blog.

Family of Six

Our new family of SIX! Ellie is still not so sure.

Meeting Benjamin

Waiting in the hall to see the baby.  Jonny made a map to the hospital.

Jonathan was sooo excited to see Benjamin.  He was glowing with happiness.  It was very sweet!

Katelyn was excited too but Ellie wasn't so sure.

After a LONG wait Grandma finally got to meet Mr. Persnickty.

All FOUR of my sweet kids.  I can't believe I have four kids! WOW!

One more of the VERY proud big Bro

Benjamin Thomas Bergmeier Arrives

Benjamin Thomas
Born at 12:23pm on
6-12-12
weighing 8 lbs 7 ounces
21 inches long

He is my biggest baby!

He has a strong set of lungs.

In the middle of my surgery the Dr says "No way!  You've got to be kidding me.  This baby either has a really hair bottom or he's head first!"  Well, his bottom in not hairy which means he flipped at the last minute and was head down after all.  The Dr was so surprised and said that has only happened to him one other time in 1984.  He named our baby "Persnickety"
I don't think he'll forget us!

We are both doing great.  Chaun and I are once again thankful to the Lord for blessing us with this sweet boy.  Benjamin is a gift from God and we praise God for His kindness to us.

Ready for surgery

We headed to the hospital at 10:00 am.  I was scheduled to have my C-Section at noon.

Heading in

Waiting for surgery.
They did one more ultra sound to make sure the baby was still breech.  He was so the Dr. said the surgery was on.  He didn't feel comfortable trying to turn him again.

Some light reading while he waits.

Ready for surgery in his stylish new jump suit

Waiting

Chaun and I headed to the hospital early Saturday morning for the version.  I was a little nervous because I had heard that they hurt really bad.  The Dr found where the baby was using an ultra sound machine and then took his hands and pushed him right into place. It took about 30 seconds (or less).  Then he checked me.  My cervix wasn't ready at all so he sent me home to wait.  I was very glad the baby moved so easy into place but I was disappointed that had to wait because my parents had come early.  Originally I thought I would have a baby no matter what on Saturday so mom and dad rearranged there busy schedule and came a week early.

So, we decided to have fun while we waited.  We rode bikes at Southern.
Went to the park (and McDonalds)
I went back to the Dr on Monday.  Head was still down but no progress was being made.
He sent me home to wait again.

So we went to the zoo

And did a lot of walking!

I went back to the Dr. on Thursday.  Head down, no progress, see you Monday.
My dad had to leave without seeing the baby and my mom stayed.  It was the longest week of my life.  I was sad I called in my help so early and my dad didn't get to see the baby
More waiting...

We went out for supper

On Monday I went back to the Dr. again.  This time the little guy had flipped again.  The Dr. tried to turn him but it didn't work this time.  So he scheduled me for a C-Section the next day at noon.  Now our waiting is done.  We are excited to meet this little guy.

Almost there

Here I am at week 39.  The end is close.  Tomorrow I am scheduled for a version.  If it doesn't work they will do a C-Section.  If it does work I am hoping they'll induce me but they might just send me home. My parents just arrived to help us with the kids.
