A Trip to the City

On the way home from our night in the city. When we got off our last bus Jonathan was so impressed with the bus driver. He said "That guy knew right where our house was!"
It was a great trip! We had so much fun!
Thanks Dave and Anita for taking us around the city.

Last stop before home was Millennium Park. Jonathan and Katelyn got soaked in the fountain After getting soaked we went and listened to a concert in the park and the boys played a little football.

Cousins

After we saw the dolphins we had a picnic by the lake. It was beautiful! I love Chicago!!

Jonathan and Luke running to see the dolphins at Shedd Aquarium.

Emily and Alise were great babysitters. They carried little Katelyn all over Chicago. It was nice to have a break! Thanks girls!!!

Jonny got to take his first train and bus ride to down town Chicago. He thought it was pretty neat. He kept saying "I want to take daddy on a plane, train, and bus with me." So sweet... I love this picture of him and Uncle Dave.

Jonathan had a lot of fun with Natalie. Here they are playing doctor.

Katelyn had fun too. She kept sticking her whole head in this bucket and tried to drink the water! YUCK!

I thought Jonathan would be too scared to swim in the lake, but boy was I wrong!! He LOVED it and didn't want to leave.

The kids and I headed to Chicago in June to see my brother and his family. We had a great time! Jonathan loved his city adventures. We went to the beach the first night we were there.

Grandma and Grandpa O Come to Visit

Dad and Mom and the kids before they left. Thanks for coming! We had a GREAT time. We love you and miss you!!

We also went to Cavehill Cemetery. It was really pretty and very interesting.

My mom and I

I threw this picture in because I thought it was funny. Jonathan greedily guarding TWO bowls of ice cream.

We went out for pie and ice cream. Jonathan is pretty excited as you can see!

Katelyn was a grandpa's girl this visit. She loves the men in her life.

Grandma and the kids.

Katelyn loves this little water fountain. She was SOAKED when we left.

We went to the zoo.

We grilled out by the river one night.

Jonathan and Grandpa getting some Lemonade (which Katelyn really loved!).

My parents came at the end of May for a visit. We had a great time with them and stayed very busy. Above are pictures of going to the horse races at Churchhill Downs. Once again I have too many pictures and it was hard to choose but here is a glimpse of the fun we had.

A Visit From Sarah and Eric

Two more pictures I decided I couldn't leave out. Katelyn with her Aunt Sarah and Uncle Eric with the boys. Thanks for coming! We love you!

One last picture before we said goodbye! It was a great weekend. We miss them a lot!!!

Next we went to an interactive art museum. I didn't get a lot of pictures of the kids together, but it was fun! Jonathan was trying to concentrate hard and smile.

Sarah and I at the races! It was hot but the boys loved seeing the horses up close.

We also went to the horse races. Jonathan was trying to be "cool."

This might be my favorite picture!! They are so cute!!!

Cousins

Jonathan and Josiah little buds. It is so fun to watch them play together.

Buddies again!!

Above: We went to the zoo. Uncle Eric decided to treat the boys to a Carousel Ride. I was a little worried that now Jonny would want a ride every time we came but as you can see from his face that wasn't the case at all. I forced him on thinking he would like it by the end but he did not. Later we were walking around the zoo and a man said to me "Oh, you're the mean mom who made your kid ride the Carousel!"
Below: Katelyn LOVED Uncle Eric. She went to him whenever she could. It was so sweet!!!

My sister Sarah and her family came to visit at the end of May. We had so much fun and took a lot of pictures. I tried not to go crazy and post too many but I had it was hard to choose. We were so thankful they could come and treasure our time together.

More Ordinary Days at the Bergmeier's

Katelyn's new love...water and mud!

He also loves to dress up.

Jonathan still loves to play his guitar and sing. His other new favorite is playing the air drums. Don't ask him to sing for you, unless you have ear plugs!

Looking all grown up!

Kate decided she wanted to sleep in the big bed too.

Story time with daddy

Brotherly love...sometimes Katelyn likes it sometimes she doesn't.

We have potty trained Jonathan...more to come on that fun later. Here is Katelyn ready to be potty trained next.

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful mother's day! After church I got to take a nice long nap, then we went out for pizza. We took a walk and ended our day with ice cream. I big thanks to Chaun for making me feel so special. I am blessed and thankful to be a mom.
