Saying Good-bye

Last night together...We'll miss you!!!

Getting muddy!

Jonathan and Alexa loved playing together.

This month we had to say good bye to our fantastic friends and neighbors. We were so sad to see them go. We loved playing with them and I loved having a friend so close to talk with, swap kids with, and borrow forgotten groceries from. We miss them a lot and are thankful for the time we had with them.

Fun in May

Chaun was sweet and let me go away for a girls weekend. I went with my friend Kristen from Louisville and we met up with our friends from Waterloo. I had a great time catching up with Jess!

Just a sweet picture of Daddy and his girl.

Katelyn has no fear. It makes playing at the park an adventure for me. I am always chasing this girl. She loves slides!!

Kate being cute

Jonathan the working man playing baseball. He loves this hat and wears it ALL the time.

Happy Birthday Jonathan!!

A very happy birthday boy with his truck cake.
Thanks Kristen it looked great and tasted even better!

This is how poor Katelyn felt for the party. Poor girl had a double ear infection and was as miserable as she looks.

Taking a lunch break from all our hard "work." Yummy sack lunches (PB & J, crackers, fruit, and a juice box).

Our friends Jake and Jed (with Luke hiding behind Jed).

Playing in the dirt with Kaitlyn

Who can build the highest tower? Good job Jed!!

Playing games...racing to fill the bucket with dirt.

Jonathan with his friend Alexa!

Jonathan turned three on April 13th. He wanted a truck cake, so we had a construction party. Here are his friends (some new that day) at the party. It was a perfect day for a party at the park.
We love you Jonathan!

Flying Home

I was worried about Katelyn being a wiggle worm on the plane. But that was the one good thing about her being sick. She was snuggly the whole way.

Jonathan loved having his own tray. He put his snacks in the little cup holder. We had to stop in Milwaukee, get off the plane, back on the same plane and take off again. The second time we took off Jonathan was excited to put his candy Smarties on the tray. He had to wait until we were in the air to put down the tray. He fell asleep waiting hanging on tightly to his candy. He didn't wake up until we landed and was pretty sad he didn't get to eat his candy on the plane. He didn't want to get off the plane, even to see daddy (although he ran through airport yelling "Daddy! Daddy! when he saw Chaun. It was the most precious thing I have ever seen).

Poor Kate did not feel good (we found out when we got home she had a double ear infection). Here she is getting her last snuggles with Grandpa before we boarded our plane.

Heading to the plane...

After our fun trip to Iowa we flew back to Kentucky. It was Jonathan and Katelyn's first plane ride. Jonathan was so excited and they both did great!! Jonathan did freak out a little when I had to put our stuff (including his shoes) on the conveyor belt to go through security. He thought he was losing his things forever.

Trip to Iowa: Part Three

Thanks for a great trip Grandpa and Grandma! We had a lot of fun!!

She wasn't feeling too good at the end of our trip. She just wanted to snuggle with Grandpa. Grandpa didn't mind!

Katelyn was grandpas girl!

Working in the "gard", as Jonathan called it.

Getting spoiled by grandpa: donuts, M & Ms, going out for pancakes. Jonathan is loving it if you can't tell. He only ate the frosting and sprinkles off the top of the donut.

Making fruit kabobs with Grandma

Swinging at the park!

Chaun had to go home and work (sad bananas) but the kids and I headed to my mom and dad's. We had a great time relaxing in Meriden. These are some of the fun things we did while we there.

Trip to Iowa: Part Two - EASTER

Katelyn, still not quite sure what is going on.

Jonathan found an egg!!!

Getting ready for an Easter Egg hunt with Lexi and Josie. Katelyn is not so sure about all of this.

The family...leave it to Jonny to be a goof!

The kids with their daddy. Isn't it cute they all match.

I love Kate's face in this picture. She gives us this goofy look often. I thought she looked so cute with her daddy.

Katelyn looking pretty happy, she's with her Grandpas after all.

Thanks to Grandma Sandy and Grandpa Jeff the kids enjoyed treats in their Easter baskets.

"Grandpa said I could!"
Katelyn's bib wraps up her affect on Grandpas!!

We had an early birthday celebration for Jonathan. YUMMY Pie!

Our Trip to Iowa: Part one

Katelyn, Vinnie, and I

Jonathan, Chaun, and Vinnie

Katelyn snuggling with her Uncle Chad. Jonathan had a lot of fun with Chad. He said he liked to smell Chad's head. It was pretty funny. Sadly I didn't get any pictures of them together.

When we got to Iowa we got welcome our new nephew, Vincent Kenneth, into the world. We were so excited to meet him. He is beautiful!! Congratulations to Chad (Chaun's brother) and Nikki!!

Katelyn is ready to go to Iowa! She climbed in while I was packing. It was cute until she started throwing all the clothes out of the suitcase (sorry about her hair mom...the bow must have fallen out).

Chaun, the kids, and I headed to Iowa for Easter weekend. We spent Easter with Chaun's family, then Chaun headed back to Kentucky and I headed to my parent's house. The first picture is just one I thought was cute of Katelyn at the park before we left.
